Richmond Hill

Mildred Gertrude Cribbs Davis, age 93, entered eternity on Nov. 21, at 4:45 p.m. at home under care of hospice.

She was a lifelong resident of Bryan County, a loving mother, wife and a homemaker.

She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church in Richmond Hill and a member of the Maggie Gill Sunday School Class. She was also a member of Martha Mary Chapter of the Eastern Star for almost 25 years.

Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years, Raleigh Davis.

She is survived by three daughters, Gertrude LaBean (Robert), Reba Baldridge (Robert) and Ouieda Sisco (Frank); 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Madelene Davis and Mittie Newmans (Jesse); one brother, Bemis Howell, and many nieces and nephews.

She is dearly loved by her family.

Visitation was held Nov. 23 at the Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be Saturday, Nov. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Richmond Hill Funeral Home, Cox Chapel with Dr. Bill Lindeman and Rev. Joel Carter officiating.

The burial will be at the Richmond Hill First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Anita Marie Smith

Port Wentworth

Anita Marie Smith, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at Westview Nursing Home.

Mrs. Smith was a resident of Port Wentworth for over 55 years, and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann Smith and Nathan Earl Wolfe of Pembroke; six brothers, Bill Lewis of Savannah, Lindy Lewis of Savannah, Dicky Lewis of Savannah, Ray Lewis of Savannah, Ken Lewis of Savannah, and Eddie Lewis of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Peggy Barbee of Savannah; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Nathan Earl and Carlene Wolfe II of Pembroke; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Cindy and Bill Rizzetta, of Tampa Bay, Fla.; and two great grandsons, Bryan and Bradley Rizzetta, of Tampa Bay, Fla.

A Memorial Service was held on Monday, Dec. 3, at 11:00 A.M. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home. A private burial followed.

Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
