Winter weather advisory continues for area
Placeholder Image

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in effect until 11 a.m. Tuesday for inland Bryan County.

As temperatures drop overnight, icy patches are expeced to develop or redevelop on some roads, especially on secondary roads, bridges and overpasses.

Traces of ice accumulation produced by freezing rain are possible. Pockets of light freezing rain and freezing drizzle
could occur at any time this evening. However, temperatures are more likely to fall to freezing between midnight and 4 a.m., increasing the potential for icy roads.

A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain are expected or occurring. Travel difficulties are
likely, and motorists should be prepared for slippery roads and reduced visibilities.
