Recruit firefighter Hailey Williams has been named the Bryan County Fire and Emergency Services “Employee of the Quarter” for the second quarter of 2022.

Williams is in training and preparing for her certification test.

She was nominated by several BCFES members and below are direct quotes from those who nominated her.

"Since starting with BCFES as a recruit, Hailey has become an incredibly valuable member of our department. She takes any assignment willingly and tackles it with enthusiasm. She rises to whatever occasion that she finds herself in the midst of with confidence and competence. We are truly fortunate to have her on the department,:

"Hailey started with Bryan County Fire and Emergency Services just before the tornado hit North Bryan County in April 2022. She was tasked with running the staging for volunteers and handled it like she had been here for years. Hailey worked morning to night numerous days in a row without complaining and handling every emergency that came her way."

"During the response efforts of the tornado, Hailey worked numerous hours coordinating and maintaining the staging area. Hailey was also instrumental and helped with the donations and the distributions of items during the recovery activities."

"Hailey worked tirelessly during the tornado event in April. She made sure everyone received what was needed, not just for the responders and volunteers but for the victims as well. She learned a lot of administrative skills and how to advocate for the victims. She is a true unsung hero."
