The ballot contains both 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 (Mayor and City Council) and important 𝗕𝗿𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆-𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.
⚬ 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗛𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗦: 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 residents who live 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗹 are eligible to vote for Mayor and City Council.
⚬ 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗕𝗥𝗬𝗔𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦: You are eligible to vote on the County-wide questions and any State races on your ballot. You 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 see the City of Richmond Hill Mayor and City Council races.
𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻? The City of Richmond Hill is a separate municipal government. City elections determine the leadership (Mayor and City Council) responsible for specific City services funded by City taxes. These essential services include 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 (Richmond Hill Fire and Police Departments) and 𝗨𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 (City of Richmond Hill water and sewer services). 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝘅𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗲 for the Mayor and City Councilmembers who oversee them.

𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: Due to Election Day, the regular November City Council meeting is moved to 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟱𝘁𝗵.
