It's that time again to tell us who and what should win bragging rights as the best in Bryan County.

Bryan's Favorites is an annual readers' choice contest presented by Bryan County News recognizing dozens of area businesses, individuals and events from seven categories: arts & entertainment, community, eating & drinking, health & fitness, services, shopping, and sports & recreation.

The voting began Monday and lasts through Nov. 30. Readers can go to bryancountynews.com/faves to cast their ballots.  You can vote often and by doing so puts you in the running for a $100 gift certificate.

More than 2,000 people participated in the 2018 contest, casting nearly 29,000 votes. Already, the 2019 contest has gotten 1,600 people participating, casting their nominations over the last two weeks. These numbers indicate that 2019 may be the most popular contest ever.

“I’m excited that so many great companies, organizations and individuals were nominated,” said Patty Leon, general manager of the News. “This year’s Bryan’s Favorites will likely surpass our expectations. It’s exciting to see the community support and root for their favorite businesses in each category. I think the competition this year is going to be fierce, yet fun. I look forward to seeing who the winners are.”

An awards ceremony, honoring the winners, will be held in January.
