The Bryan County Bark Park is looking for community members who are willing to get their paws dirty at Volunteer Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 7.

The nonprofit organization needs volunteers to assist with various projects such as trimming trees, pulling weeds, refreshing landscape, and light repair work.

Any volunteers who pre-register for the event will receive a free t-shirt (while supplies last) in appreciation. Please register on the Eventbrite page, which can be found by visiting https://bit.ly/2HO3LFf, or Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/4099863386706093/.

Volunteers have ensured the Bark Park’s success since its inception as a registered nonprofit in 2012. The Park provides a safe and fun place for families to let their dogs off the leash and has become a favorite spot for dogs and their owners in Bryan and surrounding counties. The Bark Park, located at Devaul Henderson Park in Richmond Hill, aims to continue providing a clean and well-maintained space for all responsible dog owners in the area.

“We are always impressed by supporters and their eagerness to help,” said Bark Park President Wendy Bolton. “We’re excited to see what we can accomplish this Volunteer Day and hope that the community will continue to enjoy all that the Bark Park has to offer. We encourage everyone to join our pack and get their paws dirty for a great cause!”
