Update: Southbound I-95 blocked in Pooler

One person is dead after a vehicle overturned on I-95 in Pooler on Friday around 11 a.m. Two lanes remain blocked, according to the DOT.

Earlier, the DOT said all three lanes on I-95 South near Pooler's airport exit were blocked and motorists were asked to take alternate routes, according to a Georgia Department of Transportation press release received Friday around 11:40 a.m. No cause was given for the blockage.

CHATHAM: I-95 SOUTHBOUND AT EXIT 104 - ALL LANES BLOCKED 11:15 am: All lanes of I-95 southbound are blocked at Exit 104, Airways Avenue, in Pooler. Estimated time of clearance is unknown. Motorists heading south on I-95 are advised to use alternate routes until further notice. Keep checking www.georgia-navigator.com or call 511 for updates.
