The Coastal Health District said Wednesday night there are now nine confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Bryan County.
Earlier Wednesday, the CDH confirmed the first coronavirus-related death in Bryan. The man, 65, had underlying medical issues, according to the CDH.

As of 7 p.m., April 1, there are 86 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in residents of the Coastal Health District.
Cases by county:
- Bryan: 9 cases, 1 death
- Camden: 5 cases
- Chatham: 39 cases, 2 deaths
- Effingham: 5 cases
- Glynn: 19 cases
- Liberty: 7 cases
- Long: 1 cases
- McIntosh: 1 cases
