Richmond Hill City Council Post 1 incumbent JoAnn Bickley officially announced Friday that she will run for another term.

She will face off against former councilman Van Hunter on the Nov. 3 city election ballot.

The qualifying period ended Friday at 4:30 p.m. and six candidates in all qualified for three positions. Also on the ballot will be current councilman Floyd Hilliard versus former councilman Harold Fowler for Mayor of Richmond Hill and RHHS teacher Russ Carpenter going up against Richmond Hill resident Darryl Petermann. Petermann threw his name in the hat during the last hour of qualifying Friday afternoon.
