The Good Ol' Boys are at it again

It may only be July, but once again Santa has raised the call for residents of the Bryan County area to become his helpers to ensure that every child in Bryan County has a joy filled Christmas.

The Good Ol’ Boys organization of Richmond Hill is sponsoring its Eighth Annual GOB - John Stevens Memorial Santa Scramble golf Tournament to benefit the Bryan County Children’s Fund.

Each year, the Good Ol’ Boys raise funds to ensure that no child in Bryan County is without a Christmas, birthday or back-to-school gift.

To raise funds, the organization hosts a golf scramble each year. The money raised is used to purchase toys, food or clothing.

Children are chosen by their eligibility and through referrals from schools, churches and local social service agencies. The Bryan County Children’s Fund has added over 200 new children to their rolls for 2007. These new children will put a stress on

the funding unless they can generate additional funds in 2007.

In order to raise the much needed funding in time for the holiday season, the Good Ol' Boys are asking for residents to become sponsors and enter the golf scramble to be held on November 9th, 2007 at Sterling Links Golf Club.

A Golf Hole Sponsorship is a donation of $100 which gets the sponsor a sign on the course, acknowledgement at the tournament, and in the Bryan County News.

A Bronze Sponsor donates $1,000 and gets everything a golf hole sponsor receives, plus one complimentary four man team.

A Silver Sponsor donates $1,500 and gets everything a hole sponsor receives, the right to erect a booth and six foot banner near the clubhouse plus one complimentary four man team. The Silver Sponsor may place representatives in their booth to talk with individuals, to give out samples and pass out literature during the tournament.

A Gold Sponsor donates $2,000 and gets everything a hole sponsor receives, the right to erect a tent and ten-foot banner near the clubhouse, plus two complimentary four-man teams. The Gold Sponsor may place representatives in their booth to talk with individuals, to give out samples and pass out literature during the tournament. The Gold Sponsor’s company logo will also be used in the advertisement for the gold tournament.

The Good Ol' Boys are also asking for door prize donations from local businesses and organizations or any monetary donations from individuals will be appreciated.

All door prize donors or monetary donors will be recognized at the at the golf tournament and will also be published in the Bryan County News.

The Good Ol' Boys and the Bryan County News ask that local businesses and residents join together to support the Bryan County Children’s Fund. This will help to make the event a success as in years past and ensure that Bryan County residents have the best Christmas possible.

To sponsor, please send checks made out to Bryan County Children’s Fund, to Good Ol Boys P. O. Box 49 Richmond Hill, GA. 31324.
