Teens have special place in Pembroke Library
Pembroke Library teen room

The Pembroke Public Library was recently awarded $2,000 from the Dollar General Youth Literacy Grant to support its goal of reaching teens. The grant will be used to purchase young adult books for its new teen area.

The books and computers in the teen area can be utilized with a library card.

Initial library cards are free, although a parent or legal guardian must sign the application for all users under 18.

The library's new teen area includes computers, phone charging stations, TV/XBox1, and free wi-fi.

The library also has PINES e-cards at gapines.org/eg/opac/register. An e-card provides immediate access to online resources.
