Bryan County schools open their doors on Aug. 10 for the 2007-2008 year. With that day creeping closer and closer, Georgia’s tax-free shopping dates come at a perfect time.

Beginning tomorrow at 12:01 a.m. and running until Sunday, Aug. 5 at midnight, state and local taxes will not apply to clothing under $100, computers and computer equipment under $1500, school supplies under $20, and energy efficient appliances under $1500.

Stores recommend getting an early start, because the mad rush can create longer lines and limited availability.
