The Governor of the State of Georgia has proclaimed Sunday, Nov. 2 as Retired Educators Day.
Signed by Gov. Brian Kemp, the proclamation honors the more than 145,000 retired educators in Georgia, 34,000 plus of whom are members of the Georgia Retired Educators Association.
The retired educators donate thousands of hours of volunteer service and make invaluable contributions to the welfare of their respective communities across the state.
Both the mayor of Richmond Hill and chairman of the Bryan County Board of Commissioners issued similar proclamations.
