In a new study Clover compiled user data to track where its 200,000 users go on a first date. The answer: Starbucks, followed closely by Chipotle Mexican Grill, which was also the top restaurant choice among those ages 18-24.
Starbucks might seem like a pretty basic first date meetup, but look on the bright side: If it goes well, at least we already know that the chain hosts weddings! Time magazines Laura Stampler reported.
The study also found a stark difference in what men and women want from their first date. Fifty-one percent of men prefer to go to a restaurant on the first date, while about the same number of women want to meet at a coffee shop, the Clover study said. Bars were the lowest desired place for a first date among both men and women.
