The city of Midway hosted a ribbon-cutting celebration March 5 in conjunction with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.
The event celebrated the city’s grand opening of its new operations center at 150 Butler Avenue.  Mayor Dr. Clemontine Washington welcomed staff, chamber staff, ambassadors, chamber members and people from the community to the event.
“We are so happy to have moved into this facility and cannot thank our staff enough for their contributions to the move,” Washington said.
City hall has taken over space that formerly was vacant inside the facility adjacent to the Midway IGA. City council meetings currently are being held at the old city hall building, which now houses the Midway Police Department.
“We are so happy to have you in the chamber family and look forward to many great things to come in the future for Midway,” chamber CEO Leah Poole said
