MACON — A Norcross company is planning a $20 million green energy facility in Bibb County that it says would create 150 new jobs during the next 30 months.

NW Technologies, whose Asian operation supplies wind and solar power in Japan, China and other countries, offered its plan on Monday to the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority. The company is asking for an option on a 30-acre site.

The Telegraph reports (http://bit.ly/quIy7T ) the first phase would include a $5 million investment on five acres to build a manufacturing facility to build the solar and wind power generators. Grace Chu, the company's associate director of operations, says that phase would create 25 jobs and be completed in 12 months.

The second phase would create an energy "farm" on 15 to 20 acres.
