Something as simple as a lunchtime letter can have a long-lasting impact on family members. Such was the case with Katie Rogal, who recently posted on imgur a letter she received from her father when she was a child. Now 31 years old, she still keeps the note on her fridge.

The letter, addressed to Katie, was one of several letters she received from her father with her lunches. This one particularly asks the young girl how to spell the lunch she had that day. The four options include below knee, blowney, bologna and baloonee. The image shows the daughter selected the correct spelling, bologna.

Below that quick quiz, the dad asks the daughter how much she thinks he loves her, with the answer in huge capital letters: THIS MUCH.

The image, which was also posted on reddit, received some inspiring comments and feedback for Katie. She updated her post on reddit early Monday morning, thanking readers for their support.

Katie, who has always had a close relationship with her father, told Yahoo News that the online community helped her realize that her father is even more special than she may have previously thought.

The comments were so sweet, they gave me a whole new appreciation for my dad and I didnt even know that was possible! she told Yahoo News. Im so lucky to have someone like him and my mom is awesome too. I try to call them every day.

Her father, Jim Rogal, told Yahoo that the feeling is mutual. He also said Katies viral photo can teach people that they can still communicate with their family even without technology.
