Richmond Hill High School seniors Elizabeth Latimer and Delaney Thompson have been named the RHHS and Bryan County School System 2026 PAGE STAR Students.

Marc Curtis, President of the Richmond Hill GA Lions Club, the local STAR program sponsor, announced the honors.

Latimer selected Faith Fitzgerald, AP Biology teacher at Richmond Hill High School, as her STAR Teacher. Thompson selected Cindy Dixon, AP Language teacher at Richmond Hill High School, as her STAR Teacher.

The Richmond Hill GA Lions Club Foundation, Inc. provides a $1,000 scholarship to each STAR Student.

Elizabeth Latimer, the daughter of Cathryn & Craig Latimer, and Delaney Thompson, the daughter of Danielle & Jon Thompson, earned the recognition for academic achievement and performance on the SAT.

The PAGE Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program is sponsored, administered and promoted by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) and the PAGE Foundation. Since its creation, the STAR program has honored nearly 30,500 students and the teachers they have selected as the most influential to their academic achievement. High school seniors must have the highest score on a single test date on the SAT and be in the top 10 percent or top 10 students of their class based on grade point average to qualify for STAR nomination.

As the Bryan County School System winners, Elizabeth and Delaney will compete with other regional winners for the State PAGE STAR Student Recognition.

"The Richmond Hill GA Lions Club congratulates Elizabeth and Delaney and their teachers for the academic excellence they exemplify at Richmond Hill High School," said Donna Hoke, RH Lions Club Scholarship Chairperson.

The RH Lions Club Foundation also provides a $2500 scholarship for local graduating seniors. The Lions Club Annual Scholarship is awarded through an application and interview process. Applications for the annual scholarship are now available from the high school guidance counselor.
