Seventh person in Bryan County dies as result of COVID-19, CHD says

A seventh person from Bryan County has died as a result of COVID-19, the Coastal Health District said Friday.


Here's the July 31 update from the CHD:


As of 3 p.m., July 31st, there have been 9,643 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in residents of the Coastal Health District and 112 deaths.


Cases by county:

  • Bryan: 530 cases, 7 deaths
  • Camden: 607 cases, 4 deaths
  • Chatham: 4,808 cases, 67 deaths
  • Effingham: 614 cases, 1 death
  • Glynn: 2,250 cases, 28 deaths
  • Liberty: 575 cases, 2 deaths
  • Long: 114 cases, 1 death
  • McIntosh: 145 cases, 2 deaths

Timing of Reports:

It can take days, weeks, or longer for COVID-19 case-related information, including deaths, to be reported from various sources and confirmed by the State. Any reductions are due to corrections of previous errors in the database.
