Dog lovers and their furry friends will turn out in J F Gregory Park this Sat., March 31, for the 2nd Annual See Spot Run 5K Run/Walk. The event is hosted by Bryan Animal Caregivers, and proceeds will fund their very successful Prevent a Litter, Fix Your Critter Reduced-Cost Spay/Neuter Program.

‘Last year we had more than 100 participants, most running or walking with their dogs. We’ve added a number of activities this year, and expect Saturday’s event to be even better’, said BAC’s President, Lisa Stringfellow. ‘We’ll have a professional photographer to take photos of participants and their pets, face-painting for the kids, pet contests, Agility and Frisbee dog demonstrations, raffles, and booths from our sponsors and other area rescue groups. Backyard Burgers will offer lunch.’

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the registration fee is $25. The fee includes an Event T-shirt, goody bag, water and snacks. Dogs must have a current rabies vaccination and must be kept on leash at all times. Runners will start promptly at 10:00. Prizes will be awarded for runners in several categories. Walkers may start at their leisure after 10:15.
