Schools reportedly broken into over Christmas
Police investigating possible thefts, vandalism

Three Richmond Hill schools were burglarized on three different days over the Christmas holiday, according to reports filed with the Richmond Hill Police Department.

On Dec. 22, RHPD officers were sent to Richmond Hill Primary School on a burglary call and found the school broken into with property damage inside. Among the items damaged were windows, computers and televisions.

On Dec. 23, RHPD responded to Carver Elementary on a burglary call. The report said a cabinet containing prescription medication for students was ransacked.

On Dec. 24, RHPD officers were conducting a routine check and learned Richmond Hill High School had been broken into. The offices of the principal and vice principal were reportedly broken into and cash boxes were allegedly stolen.

On Dec. 25, also at RHHS, two modular classroom  were reportedly broken into and damaged.

The incidents are under investigation by the RHPD. Look for more in Saturday’s paper.
