School employees given $1,000
Bryan County Schools

Bryan County's full-time employees got a grand surprise Friday. The school system is giving each full time employee $1,000.

The system has approximately 1,400 employees.

Here's the press release, hot off the press from Bryan County Schools  Superintendent Dr. Paul Brooksher:

Bryan County Schools gives every full-time employee $1,000 dollars to say thank you for their dedication and commitment during these unprecedented times.

As a result of their tireless commitment, unwavering resolve, and focus on doing the right thing, the superintendent and Board of Education chose to close 2020 with an extra special "thank you" to all Bryan County Schools employees. Mrs. Amy Murphy, Board Chairman stated, “We are always appreciative of your time, your talents and the enormous amount of effort that goes into making Bryan County Schools the very best for our students. The 2020-2021 school year has been a system wide effort of everyone showing up and showing how dedicated you are to our students.”

Because we recognize one thank you could never express the amount of our gratitude, we decided to offer every full-time employee a thousand "thank yous".  With that being said, we thought the next best way to say thank you 1,000 times was to surprise every full-time employee with $1,000 dollars.  Yes, every full-time employee in Bryan County Schools!  Superintendent Dr. Paul Brooksher, expressed, “This is just a small token of our appreciation for the amazing work they do each and every day supporting students, families, each other and our community. Next week on Tuesday, every full-time employee will discover a one-time payment of $1,000 dollars in their account.”
