School bus involved in two-vehicle accident Tuesday, toddler reportedly taken to hospital

A school bus headed south on Highway 17 on Tuesday afternoon collided with an SUV that was pulling out across Clarktown Road.

 

According to Georgia State Patrol, the bus t-boned the driver side of the SUV causing it to spin into the median, where it then flipped.

 

A 2-year-old in the back seat was not properly restrained was thrown from the vehicle. The child was flown to Memorial Hospital and his or her condition was not immediately known.


Bryan County Emergency Services said none of the kids on the bus were hurt.
