Road work on I-95 continues

Ongoing road work continues this week along parts of I-95 in Chatham and Liberty counties. Drivers are urged to use caution when driving through construction zones.

Lane closures, weather permitting, are scheduled as follows:

 

Chatham County

-          I-95 northbound between milepost 101 and 102 will have single- or double-lane closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through Wednesday for bridge rehabilitation work.

-          I-95 northbound between mileposts 103 and 104 in Pooler will have a continuous double-lane closure and traffic shift for about another 10 days for approach slab replacements at Pipe Makers Bridge.

             

Liberty County

-          I-95 off ramps at Exit 76 southbound and Exit 67 northbound will have closures and detours in place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through May 12 while concrete is replaced on the ramps.

GeorgiaForward has announced that the 2025 Youth Placemaking Grant has been presented to the City of Pembroke Mayor’s Youth Council. The $500 grant, awarded to the city, will support a youth-led public placemaking project designed to foster creativity, community connection, and civic pride among young residents.
