Richmond Hills Independence Day celebration set

The city of Richmond Hill will sponsor an Independence Day celebration from 5-9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 5, in J F Gregory Park.  

Activities include live music performed by The Tams and food such as barbecue, grilled sausages, hamburgers, hot dogs, turkey legs, kabobs, ice cream, smoothies, shaved ice and variety of deserts.

There will be farmers-market items, arts and crafts vendors and face painting.
Fun Time will provide inflatable water slides and an obstacle course. There also will be fishing.  

The city’s traditional fireworks display will start about 9 p.m.

Those attending are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs, as well as change of clothes for the kids.

Coolers will be permitted, although no alcoholic beverages will be allowed.

There will be no charge for live music, water rides and fireworks. Parking will be available at J F Gregory Park area.
