Richmond Hill High School presents Mama Mia this weekend

Richmond Hill High School presents three performances of Mama Mia this weekend: March 22-23 at 7 pm, and March 24 at 3 pm. All performances will be held in the East Gym.

The cast contains 25 students with 10 crew members.

Tickets are available at the door, $12 for adults, and $7 for students, military and seniors.

Bryan woman dead after Bloomingdale crash

EFFINGHAM COUNTY -- A woman was killed after a multi-vehicle crash in Bloomingdale April 3.


Deputies responded to the crash on Hwy. 80 near the intersection of Hwy. 17 in Bloomingdale just after 7:30 a.m. Thursday.


Preliminary information from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit indicates five vehicles were involved, four commercial vehicles and one sedan. Deputies with the Traffic Unit began investigating and determined that four of the involved vehicles were stopped at a traffic light when a fully loaded concrete truck struck the rear of the small sedan, causing a chain reaction of collisions.


The victim has been identified as Carly Holubik, 32, of Richmond Hill.
