Ribbon cutting marks opening of Y expansion

Richmond Hill and regional YMCA volunteers and officials, along with South State Bank officials had a ribbon cutting Monday to open an expansion to the YMCA of Richmond Hill.
The ceremony was for a $150,000 project that added more than 4,000 square feet to the facility.
The bank started the fundraising with a $50,000 donation in July. The approximately 14,000-square-foot Y now includes a fitness room, spin room with bicycles, multi-purpose room and more.

Pembroke Mayor's Youth Council earns grant from Georgia nonprofit

GeorgiaForward has announced that the 2025 Youth Placemaking Grant has been presented to the City of Pembroke Mayor’s Youth Council. The $500 grant, awarded to the city, will support a youth-led public placemaking project designed to foster creativity, community connection, and civic pride among young residents.
