Representatives from the Richmond Hill High School graduating classes of 1955-64 presented a $1,000 check Thursday to the school's second-year orchestra program.

Orchestra director Charles Patterson said the money will go toward purchasing a cello rack. "We are desperately in need of storage," he said.

Patterson thanked Betsy Wilson (class of 1962) and Runette Parker (class of 1963) representing the classes, for their kind donation.

There are currently 16 students in the orchestra program, and Patterson expects that number to grow to 22.
