RH man dies in accident on Hwy. 144

Law enforcement investigate this morning the scene of an accident on Hwy. 144 near Ford Plantation that involved a motorcycle and has ended in a fatality, according to Richmond Hill Police.

A wreck involving a motorcycle resulted in a fatality this morning in Richmond Hill.

Cpl. Susan Willis with the Richmond Hill Police Department confirmed there was a fatality in the accident that occurred around 7 a.m. today on Hwy. 144 near Ford Plantation.

The Richmond Hill Police Department released this statement at 11:35 a.m.:

"On Friday, Nov. 19, at 7:19 a.m., Richmond Hill Police Department responded to the intersection of Hwy. 144 and Brisbon Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a school bus. Fourty-four-year-old John David Hardee of Richmond Hill died as a result of injuries from the accident. The accident is still under investigation by Georgia State Patrol."
