Police arrested 29-year-old Richmond Hill resident Charlie Jackson, 28, last week and charged him with burglarizing a family member in the 8,000 block of Hwy. 17, near Hope Creek.
BCSO Det. Mickey Sands said Jackson stole $5,000 worth of cash and jewelry from the residence. Sands also said Jackson lived approximately a mile from the victim.
“We’ve recovered about half of the jewelry from local pawn shops, and the investigation is still ongoing,” said Sands.
Jackson was released from the Bryan County Jail on Dec. 4 when a $10,000 bond was posted.
