The Richmond Hill Garden Club has designated the home of Alexandra and Eddie Diaz of 254 Misty Drive in Laurel Grove subdivision as its Yard of the Month for October 2019.

 The Diaz home features a variety of plants in raised beds of white block filled with butterflies flitting among Pentas,various colors of Vincas, and Roses with boxwoods and espaliered Tea Olives behind. The right side of the house was bordered with Crape Myrtles and the left with camellias.

The Richmond Hill Garden Club presents YOM awards throughout the year. These awards rotate from area to area throughout Richmond Hill and South Bryan County and recognize residents’ landscaping efforts and pride in their homes and neighborhoods. As winners of the Yard of the Month, the Sharps received a $25 gift certificate from Tim and Dave’s nursery and a framed certificate from the garden club.

The Richmond Hill Garden Club meets monthly at 10 a.m. on the second Wednesday, September through May in the Wetlands Center in J.F. Gregory Park. Visitors and new members are welcome. For additional information visit the Richmond Hill Garden Club Facebook page.
