The City Council of Richmond Hill broke ground Thursday afternoon on the city’s sidewalk project, a system of sidewalks connecting neighborhoods to schools, parks and retail establishments. The project came about as a result of a needs assessment completed earlier this year, which identified the areas with a “gap in service” related to the provision of sidewalks and pedestrian connectivity to critical destinations in the city.

GeorgiaForward has announced that the 2025 Youth Placemaking Grant has been presented to the City of Pembroke Mayor’s Youth Council. The $500 grant, awarded to the city, will support a youth-led public placemaking project designed to foster creativity, community connection, and civic pride among young residents.
