Retired educators give $500 gift

Every year the Bryan/Evans Retired Educators (BEREA) give out an annual educational gift to deserving individuals who are pursuing their degree in education. 

This year, the group presented their annual $500 educational gift to Angie Bigham at their February meeting at the Daisy Methodist Church in Daisy, GA. 

Bigham, a paraprofessional at Claxton Elementary, is a college senior working toward an educational degree. Her goal is to become a teacher/reading specialist.

Newly-appointed Richmond Hill-Bryan County Airport Authority Chairman Trip Addison kicked off the board’s first-ever meeting by telling those who attended he was “dedicated to engaging every voice in this process,” as the board moves forward on a potential general aviation airport on Rayonier-owned property off Highway 17 near Belfast Keller Road.
