A recount completed Tuesday morning has confirmed Robbie Ward as the winner in the Richmond Hill post 2 City Council race.

Final recount tallies confirmed by the county shows Ward receiving 694 votes to challenger David London's 642.

The final numbers changed slightly. The original count from election night had Ward with 684 votes and London with 630.

Early voting for the runoff between Les Fussell and Steve Scholar for the Post 4 seat will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Tuesday Nov. 19 and ends Wednesday Nov. 27 at the Wetlands Center, and the runoff is Dec. 3. 

Richmond Hill residents who are registered voters are eligible to vote in this --- they didn’t have to vote in the election.
