Saturday’s yard sale and bazaar sponsored by the Richmond Hill Realtors at J.F. Gregory Park raised $1,159 for this year’s upcoming Relay for Life.

Karen Hewitt, one of the organizers of "Clearing Clutter for Cancer," said the event went well but that they had hoped to raise more money.

"There were a lot of things going on (in Richmond Hill) Saturday," she said.

Hewitt said local realtors have a goal to raise $20,000 before the May 4 event and said she’s hopeful that goal will be reached.

The Richmond Hill Realtors will be placing jars for collecting money in real estate offices around town.

They also plan to host a spaghetti dinner sometime in the coming weeks at the Wetland Center.

She said a date and time for the dinner have not yet been set.
