The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in apprehending a suspect in an armed robbery Sunday morning in Flemington.

The robbery occurred at 5:58 a.m. at the Parker's convenience store at the intersection of East Oglethorpe Highway and Old Sunbury Road. The suspect entered the store, where two clerks were working, and brandished a handgun at one of the clerks. He demanded the cash.

The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the robber fled.  No one was injured.

Authorities say the man is also a suspect in armed robberies in other locations in Hinesville, Bryan County and Claxton. The suspect is described as a white male wearing gray sweatpants and a heavy black overcoat with a hood that had fur on it. He has blonde hair and a mustache.

If anyone has information about the suspect, they are asked to call Det. Chris Reed at the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office at 876-4555 or 368-3911.
