RHHS student hit by car

A Richmond Hill teenager was hit by a car Wednesday while riding his bicycle to school.
According to Richmond Hill Police Chief Billy Reynolds, a 17-year-old male was riding his bicycle to Richmond Hill High School when he was hit by a car turning right onto Harris Trail Road.
The accident happed just after 7 a.m. at the intersection of Harris Trail and Bristol Way near the entrance to Main Street subdivision. The driver, Theresa Hoke of Richmond Hill, said she did not see the boy on his bicycle.
The teenager, whose name was not been released because of his age, suffered a fractured left ankle and several bruises, Reynolds said.
No charges are expected to be filed in the incident.
