Police nab suspect in Pembroke armed robbery

Pembroke police have an unnamed suspect in custody for an armed robbery of a gas station Sunday night.

According to a press release from the Pembroke Police Sgt. Matt Lynn, Star Cpl. Brandon McElveen responded around 9:30 p.m. to 186 North Main St. on in reference to an armed robbery and immediately secured the store. 

Video surveillance was reviewed and seized as evidence, and following an investigation, an arrest was made at a DuBois Street apartment. Evidence was also seized during the arrest.

The name of the suspect is being held pending further investigation, according to the release.

Police ask that anyone with information on the case call 653-4409 to leave an annonymous tip.
