Authorities are investigating what looks to have been a murder-suicide Monday in Richmond Hill.

Police responding to a report of a possible suicide found two people dead, including one child, at a Bristol Way address in the Main Street subdivision around 8:30 a.m., according to a press release from the Richmond Hill Police Department.

No names have been released pending notification of next of kin. The RHPD is investigating the case along with assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Other media outlets have reported the victims were a woman and boy and that RHPD Chief Billy Reynolds called them a mother and child.
