ATLANTA — Authorities say an Alabama man made an emergency landing on Interstate 95 in southeast Georgia.

The Georgia State Patrol tells WTOC-TV (http://bit.ly/Spw2TF ) that the small plane landed on the interstate just south of McIntosh County just before noon Monday.

The pilot, John Wright of Alabama, was not hurt in the accident. No one on the ground was injured and no vehicles on the highway were damaged.

The plane was towed to a way station in the county to be checked so the pilot could resume his flight.
