A Pembroke man is facing numerous charges from county and state agencies after the Feb. 17 high-speed chase from Evans to Bryan County that ended in Pembroke with a wreck that sent another driver to the hospital.

Parnell Rogers Jr. of Williams Road was charged by the Bryan County Sheriff’s Department with two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer and one count each of aggressive driving and fleeing or attempting to elude police, according to an incident report from the sheriff’s department.

Rogers has been charged by the Evans County Sheriff’s Office with reckless driving, fleeing and attempting to elude police, driving with a suspended license and violating state controlled substance laws, according to Evans County Investigator Virgil Deloach.

And charges from the Georgia State Patrol are also pending against Rogers. However, because the GSP is still investigating the incident, those charges were not available at presstime.
