Rain showers didn’t stop fire from destroying a Richmond Hill home Wednesday afternoon after a lightning strike set the house ablaze.

Richmond Hill Fire Chief Vernon Rushing said crews responded around 4 p.m. to the fire on Wild Honey Court in the Sterling Creek Plantation subdivision.
