State troopers from the Rincon Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated five traffic crashes during the month of February in Bryan County.  Sgt. 1st Class Chris Nease said the traffic crashes resulted in five injuries and eight deaths.  

Nease stated troopers from Post 42 also issued 144 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes two arrests for driving under the influence, 94 citations for speeding, 29 seat belt violations and one child restraint violation.  Troopers also issued 160 warnings.
