Bryan County Sheriff Clyde Smith said Friday morning that his office, along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, is investigating the Thursday night shooting death of a male victim.

Cyrus Purdiman, GBI assistant special agent in charge, said Kendrick Chambers, 32, was found fatally shot at 16 Dixie Road, near Ola Clark Road, south of the Richmond Hill city limits. 

Purdiman said his office was called around 10:15 p.m. to assist and that the shooting might have occurred after 9:30 p.m. The GBI is investigating leads, and anyone with info is asked to call 911 or the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office.
