Susan Clark, deputy administration chief of Bryan County Emergency Services, has completed the year-long 2013 Georgia EMS Directors’ Leadership course.
The graduation ceremony was in November in Statesboro.  
The course consisted of four week-long modules conducted at different locations:  Georgia Southern University in March; Macon in May; Gainesville in August; and again at GSU in November.
In addition to presentations by state-level, public and community health officials, students attended workshops and lectures led by a variety of experts as well as tours of the Medical Center of Central Georgia and the Northeast Georgia Health Systems campus.
Online discussion groups and training between sessions supplemented classroom activities. 
Students who complete the course are eligible to participate in an alumni group that aims to provide continuing leadership development for EMS directors and management.
“We are all proud of Chief Clark and her accomplishments,” BCES Chief Freddy Howell said. “She returned with a lot of valuable information that we have been using on a daily basis.”
