Bryan County Emergency Services Chief Freddy Howell recently honored Dairy Queen in Pembroke, left, and Richmond Hill, right, for the businesses’ help during Fire Prevention Week, which is Oct. 6-12. Both restaurants are offering a free ice cream to children who turn in a coloring sheet on fire safety and prevention by Oct. 12. The sheets are available at both Dairy Queen locations and all Bryan County fire departments.
