Convicted child killer sentenced to life

Andrea Renee Wilson, a co-defendant in the murder of her cousin, Prince C. Davis, was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole during a hearing Monday at the Liberty Jail.
Wilson received the same sentence as her co-defendant and former boyfriend, Corey Allan Brown.

Wilson received the same sentence as her co-defendant and former boyfriend, Corey Allan Brown.
Brown and Wilson were tried together in October in Liberty County Superior Court before Judge Jay Stewart.
During her sentencing hearing, Wilson begged Stewart for forgiveness.
“I ask for forgiveness because of some of the wrong that I’ve done as far as not taking him to a doctor,” she said. “I’m going to keep saying this over and over and over … I didn’t know he was in trouble like

Nuclear plant's safety discussed at meeting

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will discuss the 2017 safety performance of the Hatch Nuclear Power Plant during an open house from 4-6 p.m. April 24 in Room 171 of the Southeastern Technical College, 3001 East First St., Vidalia. The two-unit Hatch plant is located near Baxley, about 20 miles south of Vidalia, and is operated by Southern Nuclear Operating Co. NRC employees responsible for plant inspections, including the resident inspectors based full-time at the site, will be available to discuss its performance.
