A helicopter crew from the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Savannah rescued four people on the Ogeechee River Monday morning near the Strathy Hall subdivision.

Three people in a jon boat got stuck in a marshy area late Sunday night, according to Lt. Zach Brown, Coast Guard public information officer. A DNR officer attempted to reach them by boat Monday morning but also became stuck.

The people were flown back to air station in Savannah and did not require any medical attention, Brown said.
