In Richmond Hill Municipal Court today, city resident Paige Williams entered a negotiated plea to disorderly conduct and paid a fine to the court for her actions in an alleged carjacking.

In December 2010, Williams claimed she was carjacked and placed in the trunk of her vehicle. Evidence revealed that no such event occurred.

Williams claimed she had been under emotional duress for years, and she fabricated the story to cover other events she had planned. She apologized to the Richmond Hill Police Department and other agencies that assisted in the investigation the night of her false report.
