Richmond Hill officials reported last week the most recent in a series of major spills at its wastewater treatment facility near Sterling Creek, but the city may soon be well on its way to alleviating such problems.
That’s because after more than five years of negotiations with the state, the city received last month a new wasteload allocation for the treatment plant, which will allow for expansion of the facility.
